800 Excellent Students From 100 Schools At The 35th Stipend Giving Event

For the past 34 years, the Shiksha Kosh has been organizing the “Stipend Giving ceremony”. This Shiksha Kosh is closely linked to the numerous initiatives that serve the general public good. Since its founding in 1956, “PASCHIM BANGIYA MARWARI SAMMELAN SHIKSHA KOSH” has carried out several initiatives to improve the lives of underprivileged kids from all backgrounds by providing them with clothing, school supplies, textbooks, stipends, and other items. Thus far, this has helped provide more than 16,000 stipends to financially disadvantaged pupils attending various West Bengali institutions. The stipend amount is paid by an account payee check made payable to their school.

The 35th stipend presenting ceremony was being held at Kala Mandir, Kolkata.

Hon’ble Shri Firhad Hakim, Hon’ble MIC Municipal Affairs & Urban Development, Govt. of West Bengal, Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation inaugurated the function.

About 800 students from 100 schools benefited from the stipend.

Stopping school and educational dropouts is the primary goal of Shiksha Kosh.

A great initiative indeed.
