To honor and empower nine remarkable women who have made noteworthy contributions to society, i Communications organized “Saptashati” on the eve of International Women’s Day. Held at The Press Club in Kolkata, the event honored these women as the nine divine manifestations of Devi Durga, known as the Navadurga, signifying their fortitude, tenacity, and uplifting impact.

These nine outstanding women were honored for their contributions in a variety of fields.

The women were Alokananda Roy, an acclaimed dancer and social reformer, Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group, Riddhi Bandopadhyay, a pioneering artist of Pancho Kabir Gaan, Dr. Sayani Palit, a renowned playback singer and music composer, Jharna Bhattacharjee, a distinguished lyricist, writer, poet, and elocutionist, Santosh Kumar Giri, Secretary & Executive Director of Kolkata Rishta, Anjali Roy, a dancer, and cancer survivor, Sunita Das, an animal lover, and Monisha Pailan, an acid attack survivor and social activist associated with the Brave Souls Foundation.

The felicitation ceremony was graced by eminent guests like Padmashri Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, the renowned Sarod Maestro, Dibyendu Barua, Arjun Awardee and Chess Grandmaster, Debashis Sen, Retd.
