Ms Sudarshana Mukherjee, Councillor, Ward 68 & Founder, ‘Baro Eka Lage’ announced a unique initiative to felicitate 200 elderly underprivileged women of Ward 68 of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The aim of the initiative was to bridge the gap between the haves and the have not’s by felicitating the underprivileged.

Present on the occasion were Mr Subrata Mukherjee, Hon’ble Minister-Panchayats & Rural Development, Government of West Bengal, Mr Swapan Basu, renowned singer and Ms Chandabani Mukherjee, social worker.

The underprivileged were felicitated with garlands, sweets and new sarees. Baro Eka Lage also arranged for ‘Puja Parikrama’ for underprivileged senior citizens like previous years.

A great initiative to undertake during the Durga Puja for sure.
