Bhalobashar Shohor is a Bengali anthology of four short films based on love that has begun streaming on ZEE5.

A press meet was organized in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.

Produced by Parambrata Chattopadhyay of Roadshow Films Pvt. Ltd, the four individual films namely- Arshinagar, Pori, Kolkatar Kobitara and Paramount are sown together with one running theme– Kolkata.

The cast consists of Chandan Roy Sanyal, Gourav Chakroborty, Ridhima Ghosh, Ishaa Saha, Tanushree Chakraborty, Rahul Banerjee, Gourab Chatterjee, Sourav Das and Payal Sarkar.

Arshinagar: Directed by Chandrashis Roy, the film is a story of rekindled romance between an estranged couple.

Pori: Directed by Aritra Sen and Rohan Ghose, the film is a tale of faith and unconditional love with so much power that it changes fate.

“I acted opposite Gourab after a long time. It was great fun acting in this romantic film. The film is a sweet romantic story and I hope will be liked by the audience” said Ridhima.

Gourab mentioned how they share a natural chemistry and to act opposite Ridhima was a good opportunity that he got after a long time.

Kolkatar Kobitara: Directed by Abhijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy, the film is an unconventional story of breaking stereotypes and accepting love without any pre-conceived notions and inhibitions.

Paramount: Directed by Abhijit Chowdhury, the film is a heart wrenching saga on how love triumphs irrespective of the challenges which come their way.

The new batch of four films in the second season will further explore the quintessential motifs of the city.

Beauty Massage Parlour: Directed by Sushanta Das, the film is about the unrequited love of a young boy, who sees his lust getting transformed to love, when he meets the girl he desires. Riddhi Sen and Satarupa Pyne play the leads in this film.

Satarupa Pyne said “This is not the typical glamorous character that I usually play in films. This is challenging and hence this interested me to a great extent”.

Shorshe Ilish: Directed by Utsab Mukherjee this is a tale of passionate love between a married couple played by Indranil Sengupta and Ankita Chakraborty.

Sayori: Sayori is a girl who wants to live her life on her own terms. She is pretty and successful. She fails to understand why she cannot decide when to settle down. Aditi Roy is the director while Anindita Bose, Indrasish Roy, Indrajit and Koushik Chakraborty are the lead actors.

Bus Stop: This is based on a true story which created social media sensation nationwide. It is about how far one can go to find out that one girl with whom he fell in love from the moment he saw her in a bus. The lead pair is Rajnandini Paul and Soumon Bose and the film is directed by Abhishek Saha.

The new season will explore new shades of love in Kolkata and will begin to air soon on ZEE5.
