The trailer launch of the upcoming Bengali film Ekti Cinemar Gaulpo took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.

Alamgir and Rituparna Sengupta along with others also cut a cake at the occasion.

The film received five National Awards in Bangladesh. The film was a joint production of India and Bangladesh and hence faced trouble about the release. Now that many matters have been resolved, the film is eyeing for release in Bengal.

The film revolves around the life of an actress Kabita (Rituparna). There are hundreds of aspiring actors who come to the film industry but very few receive the stardom they aspire. Kabita is one such actress who is trapped in between her personal life and professional ethics. For an outsider, the dream of working on celluloid is an immense opportunity. Thousands land up to pursue their dreams and thousands return without realising them. ‘Ekti Cinemar Gaulpo’ explores the real-life struggles of an actor.

Ekti Cinemar Gaulpo stars Rituparna Sengupta and Bangladeshi stars Alamgir, Champa and Arifin Shuvo. Alamgir has himself produced and directed the film.

The film is eyeing for release on 29^th November.
