The shooting of the film Chhuti took place recently in Kolkata. The director along with Saswata Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta were present at the shooting.

The film is directed by Murari M Rakshit and produced By: MMR Films.

In today’s urban middle working class lifestyle, everyone is busy, struggling for daily living. In nuclear families, children miss the company of parents at home during weekdays and nannies/maid or in some cases grandparents take care of them in the absence of their parents. Kids go through loneliness while missing mother at home specially and in some cases, they become victim of psychological/behavioural problems, addicted to gadgets and in some cases they even fall ill.

The film depicts a story of working small middle class family where everyone in the family goes through a crisis and the small kid goes through trauma and sickness while missing his parents at home. Finally it is about the story of overcoming the crisis and bringing back the family together which clearly shows the alarming social problem in today’s life.

Pradip Mukherjee, Sudipa Basu and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film. The music is by Joy Sarkar.
