New Rendition of Mile Sur Mera Tumhara By Musical Group Eso Bondhu
The latest participants of Zee Bangla Saragamapa 2019, who went on to form their own musical group named ‘Eso Bondhu’, recreated a new rendition of the Indian song ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’ on the occasion of the 74th Indian Independence.
The former participants and now popular singing sensations in Bengal and other parts of India – Ankita, Gourab, Gurujeet, Ananya, Rahul, Lama, Suman, Pritam, Tanmoy, Sneha, Sampa, Abhratanu, Rishita, Prativa and Somdatta took up the challenge to reprise the popular song. Singer Abanti who hails from Bangladesh also lent her voice to this popular number to spread the message of peace and cultural unity between both the countries.
12 talented acoustic musicians of India- Somnath Roy, Sandipan Ganguly, Raja Mallik, Subhas Bose, Sandip Chatterjee, Navonil Sarkar, Pradip Das, Abhirup Chatterjee, Tanmoy Mandal, ChhandanBasu, Anirban Chatterjee and Hari Shankar took part in this song.
The video showcases several beautiful locations of India portraying unity in diversity. The singers braved the lockdown situation to shoot in exemplary locations of West Bengal and Bangladesh. They shot amidst prominent places like Krishnanagar Rajbari (Krishnannagar Palace), Shobhabazar Rajbari (Palace), Dakshnineshwar Temple, Kumartuli, Princep Ghat, Durgapur, tea estates of Darjeeling and certain locations in Bangladesh.
The cinematography and editing is by Prasanta Kumar Sur and the song arrangement, mixing, mastering is done by Abhratanu Ghosh. Mile Sur MeraTumhara has been shot following the standard SOP and guidelines of Covid-19 in West Bengal and India.
The song released on 15th August 2020 on Youtube on the occasion of 74th Independence Day of India.
