First they were not getting the chance to work together and now three films in a row in a single year. Are you wondering about whom I am talking about? I am simply talking about Prosenjit Chatterjee and director Kaushik Ganguly. After Dristikone and Kishore Kumar Junior, the duo will be joining hands for another film this year-Jyestha Putra.

The story of the film is based on a story by late Rituparno Ghosh. The film will be produced by Prosenjit Chatterjee. Surinder Films will also be producing it. The film is a tribute to the late film maker.

The film was to be made eight years ago by the late director. However the film could not be made as Prosenjit had signed Srijit Mukherji’s film Autograph. He had requested Rituparno Ghosh that he will finish Srijit’s film and then do the film. But due to the sudden demise of Rituparno Ghosh, that was not done.

Rituparno Ghosh will be seen as the elder son while Ritwick Chakraborty will be seen as the younger son in the film. Aparajita Adhya may be seen in an important role in the film.

The music of the film will be composed by Prabuddha Bandopadhyay.

The shooting of the film will begin from 5^th December. The film will release on Poila Boisakh 2019.
