The inauguration ceremony of the Youth Association of Mohammad Ali Park took place in the presence of Brahmachari Mural Bhai, General Secretary, Dakshineshwar Ramakrishna Adyapeath along with Smita Bakshi, MLA, Sanjay Bakshi, Ex MLA, Rehana Khatun, Councillor, and many other eminent personalities.

This is the 52^nd year of the Durga Puja Committee.

During the pandemic, we are hoping that the Goddess Durga will eradicate the Corona demon as she had killed Mahishasura. Depicting the same this year the puja committee had replicated Mahishasura as Coronashura.

Artisan Kush Bera along with his two children started working on this idol in June’20. The 12 feet long idol is made and decorated only with clay. No other decorative pieces are used for this idol. He had pricked pins on Mahishasura and covered it with clay so that the transformation comes.
