The Bengal Excellence Award 2020 that was organized by Gitanjali was held at the Nehru Children’s Museum.

Sree Nandi (creative dancer) was first awarded through a virtual platform from Mumbai. Dr. Arunav Lala (Orthopedic Specialist), Sudhir Dutt (Music Director), Sabir Ahmed (Social Worker), Kashinath Das and Lakshi Das (Social Worker), Mrigank Banerjee (Children’s Literary), Sohini Hussain (Entrepreneur and Social Worker), Anup Vardhan (Journalist) ), Althia Phillips (Journalist), Subir Kumar Tagore (Economist), Pori (Social Service Organization), Joydev Sikder (Social Worker), Biswajit Mandal (Social Worker), Samu Mitra (Film Organizer), Jhumki Sen (Music Artist) N.C. Basak (institutional), Shibnath Dey Sarkar, and Pranab Bardhan (gold medalist athlete in Asia) were the other recipients of the award.

The highlight of the day was the Lifetime Achievement Award by politician and Minister of State Sadhan Pandey and the legendary film actress Madhavi Mukherjee. The award was presented by MP Shatabdi Roy and film director Reshmi Mitra.
