‘Looms, Weaves & More’ was inaugurated at Vicky Gardens, 247, Purna Das Road, Hindustan Park in the august presence of Bengali actress Koneenica.

The exhibition celebrates the traditional elegance of Indian Weaves. This show is a curation of handloom and handicrafts for the patrons.

The platform is a great way for artisans to reach their buyers directly.

An array of thirty-one stalls including food stalls have participated in the exhibition. Bhujodi, Kotpad, Creative Kantha, Afghani, and Turkish jewelry, Silks in natural dye and creative block print, Ikkat, Ajrakh Tussars, Quirky Blouses, and Dresses, Carpets, Baskets and accessories, and other skillful artistry can be found in this exhibition.

Sanchita Ghosh, Co-Founder of the Exhibition said that many stall owners could not come due to Covid-19 problems. Many booked the stalls and yet they could not reach them due to this global pandemic. However, the co-founder was hopeful that the turnout will be good as people were desperately trying to go out of their homes and also get back to normal lives.

The exhibition will continue till 13^th March, 11 am to 9 pm.
