Speaking about the success of the serial, Leena Gangopadhyay said “The serial’s story was relatable to the most audience. I am happy that the actors who have played the different roles have given their 100 percent to the roles that they have played. There are many people who thought that Rohit and Sreemoyee should have got married. Why are they not getting married? But in real life, there are many Sreemoyee’s who cannot marry their Rohit da”.
Indrani Halder who plays the role of Sreemoyee revealed that she had always wanted to work with Leena Gangopadhyay. “When I got the role, I was excited. I get a reflection of Sreemoyee in me and my mother. I had initially thought about whether people will accept me in this role. However, a major part for the role was done by Leena di’s writing” said the actress.
The actress also said “I went to a village once and even their women said they could relate to the story of Sreemoyee. This is a great creation of Leena di. The serial has been made in different languages and it is a hit in all languages. This shows the universal appeal and reality of the story”.
Tota Roy Chowdhury who plays Rohit Sen in the serial was humbled by the love that he had received by playing this character. The actor revealed that people recognized him at a glance as Rohit da wherever he went.
The serial has been made in different languages like Hindi (Anupama), Marathi (Aai Kuthe Kya Karte), Telegu (Intinti Gruhalakshmi), Tamil (Baakiyalakshmi), Malayalam (Asia Net), and Kannada (Inthi Nimma Asha).
Congratulations to the entire team for completing 600 episodes and we hope that the serial continues to enthrall the audiences with its riveting storyline in the coming days too.
