The book launch of Bishwo Brahmando O Bigyan took place in the presence of noted scientist Dr. Motilal Maiti, his wife Swapna Maiti, actress Ananya Chatterjee and Suman Das.

Bishwo Brahmando O Bigyan is research on scientific facts tracing back to the origin of life. It also highlights the link between man, science, and the universe. The book has been written in a lucid language and hence even the layman can understand these scientific concepts. The book consists of six chapters.

Dr. Maiti is the first Indian scientist in the world to begin research in Biophysical aspects of Polymorphism and its interactions with plant alkaloids. He has more than 120 research publications to his credit. He also has published 12 books from different international publications. During his career in scientific research, he has come across stalwarts like Dr. Meghnad Saha, Professor Satyen Bose and Professor Surjendu Bikash Kar Mohapatra.

Ananya Chatterjee was a science student during her school and college days. The actress said, “It is indeed wonderful that Dr. Maiti took the initiative to write on such topics in such a simple manner. This will be helpful for students in the science stream as well as for the common people too”.
