Author Somnath Ghosal will be captivating your minds in the beginning of the New Year with his second novel Dertola. The author whose ten books have already been published is now gearing up for the release of his eleventh book at the soon to start Kolkata International Book Fair 2019. Some of his other books are SMS e Chu, Magic Kolkata, Coffee FM, Lekha Samagra, Hawai Choti and others.

Have you ever thought that the non-living things in your house like the table, umbrella, coffee set and so on are not taken care of much by the people. We have the tendency to use them and then just move on with our lives once their purpose is served. But what will happen if they start taking revenge on us? This is the main crux of this novel by Somnath Ghosal.

The story is about Giridhari and his servant Haradhan. They are both in their sixties. Haradhan goes to their ancestral house in the village for fifteen days. The things in the house start talking with him. As a result of these conversations, he is made to see his inner self and made to face his inner fears.

Another unique thing about this novel is the fact that this is the first time when a trailer for a Bengali novel has been made professionally. The narration in the trailer is by Shantanu Bandopadhyay, the camera work is by Arudipta Dasgupta, editing and sound is by Ansuman. Parthapratim Das has penned down the narration.

The book will be published by Abhijaan Publishers and the content of the book will surely appeal to the readers.
