The second edition of the Mountain Music Festival was held in the courtyard of Hill Castle Homestay,  Dawaipani, a Sudipta Chanda initiative.

The second edition of this festival saw the participation of musicians from Kolkata as well as the local musicians from the hills. They sang songs and played tunes on their guitar.

The special attraction was experiencing the melody from sunrise to sunset in the lap of the beautiful hill of Dawaipani. It featured instrumental music of western classics, Tagore melodies, songs of Bengali bands,s and many more.

Apart from the Hill Castle Homestay, music was also performed at the legendary bakery Glenary’s.

Rupam Islam’s composition was played on the violin, Rahman’s melody on the Sitar, popular songs like Dil Chahta Hai even Kishore Kumar’s evergreen songs was performed. Ukulele, Guitar, Cajon players from Kolkata collaborated with the Sarangi players of Nepal at the Darjeeling Mall. The songs were being sung in front of the toy train at Ghum Station.

The festival was streamed on The Dreamers’ official Facebook page on 11 December at 9 pm on the occasion of International Mountain Day. Artists include Aritra Mukherjee, Rick Biswas, Nilanjan Saha, Ritaban Guha, and Sudipta Chanda, Subham Ghosh on the Sitar,  Sourojyoti Chatterjee on the violin.

The program was being presented by Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers in collaboration with Khukumani Sindur & Alta, Surojit Kala, Serum Group, JP Travels, Vistel Infotainment, Daffodil Incorporate, Glenary’s, Carpe Diem.
