A collection of Bengali folk songs in an album titled Meghna was released at an event held at ICCR.

Sukti Mukherjee has been learning music from the tender age of five years. She became an established artist in Bangladesh but later due to her marriage, she came to India. She has been teaching music to students. Her team’s name is Amar Meghna.

There are ten songs in the album namely Akul doriya, Nagin konya, Jhumur baaje, Nolok chaiya, Bhomra re tor, Meghna nodir buke toofan, Moutusi khub khushi and others. Eight songs have been penned down by Sukti while the two are popular folk songs.

The lyrics are by Sukti Mukherjee. The music arrangement is by Chandan Roy Chowdhury. Some of the singers who have sung in this album are Sukti Mukherjee, Ayan Mukherjee, Anirban Ganguly, Ankita Mukherjee, Pritha Mukherjee, Dip Sardar, Asifa Aslam, Aditi Roy, Promit Karmakar, Priyanka Sardar and others.

The album is priced at Rs 99 and is brought out by Raga Music.
