“Poila Shobar Thaak” was written to set the mood for the upcoming Bengali New Year, and to emphasize how special the day is for Bengalis because it marks the start of a new year full of opportunities waiting to be discovered. The sensation of doing something “for the first time” is very special to all of us, and we do everything we can to make it perfect. The album’s title perfectly captures Bengal’s intimidating spirit.

Srikanta Acharya said, “We do our individual works throughout the year. However doing work together with other singers gives me much happiness. It is a great thing to sing with such great singers for this album”.
