Biswarup Biswas Performed Solo Act For Drama Vishwaroopa
Biswarup Biswas, an actor, and director has been experimenting with different approaches to his craft. On the 27th of May, he performed a solo act for the audience. The drama, ‘Vishwaroopa,’ is a one-and-a-half-hour solo act produced by Garia Bengal Dramabaaz. Bhaskar Sen Gupta wrote the script and directed the play.
Actor Biswarup Biswas said that the play is based on Mahabharata’s political background and that he will be portraying the mythological character of Shri Krishna. The play’s main theme is the conflict between Shri Krishna’s being a God, an Avatar, or a common man.
The actor was mostly been seen in character roles in Bengali films and web series. In the Zee5 web series Mukti, he played the revolutionary character “Kanto.” He has also been working on a Hindi Web series with Bejoy Nambiar.
Though he has been involved with stage theatre for a long time, this production marks his return to the stage after a four-year hiatus.
‘Vishwaroopa’ added a unique spice to the taste of traditional Bengali theatre lovers.
