Aboli’s flagship store in Alipore Road, Kolkata was inaugurated recently.

Gracing the occasion was a group of eminent celebrities like Anirban Bhattacharya, Paayel Sarkar, Arjun Chakraborty, Trina Saha, Swastika Dutta, Rajdeep Gupta, and director Dhrubo Banerjee.

Aboli is the brainchild of the mother-daughter duo Mittu Agarwal and Tanishi Agarwal. They came up with the idea of showcasing the works of the artisans to the world. With this store, the customers can take home some of the artworks for decorating their homes. This was the vision behind starting Aboli.

Mithu Agarwal said, “Aboli nurtures art and craft, takes care of the artisans, and helps in fostering a great bonding with nature”.

Tanishi Agarwal said, “The products available at Aboli are 100% sustainable, reusable and eco-friendly. The packaging has been done using recyclable material. This is our contribution to saving the environment”.

All the products available at Aboli are sourced from local craftsmen and this ensures that the pieces are crafted using traditional designs. With the products, the customers will not only take care of the decorations in their homes but also care about the environment.

Swastika Dutta said “The store is just like me. I even told Mithu mam that there is such a store like this around us and we were not aware of that. The craftsmen are getting a chance to showcase their products. The products are just the ones that I like. Hence, I am in love with the amazing range of products on display”.

Anirban Bhattacharya loved the pieces on display and said that they were aesthetically good-looking. “Though I do not buy much home décor, I buy from time to time a few pieces to deck up the home. The pieces here are so amazing and the fact they have been sourced from the local artisans is a huge thing” said the actor.

Rajdeep Gupta said “Though I might look like the guy who is not into home décor, most of the things in my home are bought by me. I love sophisticated home décor items that are not too flashy. And the products on display are aesthetically good-looking, pleasing to the eyes and so very affordable. When you think of a store in Alipore, people cannot think that things will be affordable. But this store is”.

Arjun Chakraborty said “This is a noble initiative indeed. The fact that the artisans are getting a platform to showcase their products is a great thing indeed. Though I am not much into purchasing home décor, but I take an active role in deciding on many home décor ideas like which light will go where and so on”.

Trina Saha highlighted the fact that this was the right time to think about sustainability and protect Mother Nature. Or else Mother Nature will also stop caring about humans.
