“I don’t know what I will be doing during the Pujas but I think it will all revolve around my film Hoichoi Unlimited which is releasing during the Pujas. I will be giving the Astami Anjali and will be having the Bhog. This is one thing I am sure about. The rest will be all Hoichoi” said the actor.
Gaurab Mondal
“My Puja plans include distributing my time in between Kolkata and Purulia. Whatever work I have here- be it visiting pandals or any other work, I complete that and then I head back home to my parents. Until I am home, my mother will not give the Anjali” said the actor.
The actor is not too fond of pandal hopping and despite what many may think, he is a foodie and does not resort to strict diets.
As far as puja fashion is concerned, Gaurab loves wearing Punjabis in different shades, as is evident from the posts in social media. “I just wear a Punjabi in the color of my mother’s choice and that does the magic” added the actor.
Parno Mittra
The actress who lives near Ekdalia Evergreen, one of the most well known Pujas in the city said that she will stay back in her home and relax during the pujas. “Getting out is a pain as the roads are blocked and there is so much traffic during the puja days. Hence I will stay back home and relax” said Parno.

“I usually go away with my family to hilly places like Himachal Pradesh or Uttarakhand during the pujas. However this year I will be staying back in Kolkata with my family. We will give the Anjali on Asthami, adda sessions with friends and relatives, gorging on good food and so on are part of my Puja plans. Pandal hopping is not possible. However I have to go out for judging some pandals and as a result pandal hopping is done in a way” said the actor.

“I have Puja at my home and hence I do not get the time to go for pandal hopping. We are so busy with cooking the Bhog or doing some other puja work, that we hardly get time for anything. We are always in a rush. The only time we see other idols is during the immersion of the idols at the ghat. However I have no regrets that I cannot go pandal hopping. I like the puja schedule at my house” said Sudipa Chatterjee.
Sabyasachi Chakraborty
“I stay away from the hustle and bustle of the Pujas as I go off to someplace in the forest with my family and stay there in peace. We as actors always have to care about our looks. Atleast during this time, I will not have to think about how I am looking. Rather I can be myself and enjoy these five days of free time” said the actor.
Biswanath Basu
“Anyone can offer me a role opposite Amitabh Bachchan or even crore rupees, but I will not stay away from the Durga Puja at my native place. It has a charm of its own. From bringing the idol to the puja activities to carrying the idol on our shoulders to the river, it is a great experience” said the actor.
