Rina Dhaka has always drawn inspiration from a range of themes and narratives, and during Lakmé Fashion Week, she let her artistic side explore old photographs, antique needlework, and botanical prints. Her “Urban Tribe” line was a truly laid-back look at glam vacation clothing that complemented Rina’s design aesthetic admirably.

Returning to the eras of the 1970s and 1990s, which were characterized by riotous energy and vivid colors, the ensembles unveiled told a colorful romance tale. In order to further develop her “back to the future” theme, Rina reimagined some cutting-edge variations of some of her iconic designs. The collection of clothes offered trend-savvy customers a voyage through classic and modern designs that occasionally appeared jumbled but were always purely fashionable.

While embellishments were at the heart of the collection, with Rina bringing in her favorite mirror work to showcase knit and crochet, the print story was intended to create a brilliant cornucopia of sunshine tones.

In addition to the flowing sheer skirts, breezy maxis, midi tunics with palazzos, and short sack dresses, the white outfits with laser cutwork for summer use were ideal. When Rina brought in off-the-shoulder tops, will-power kaftans, bustiers, corsets, a few bikinis, shrugs, capri pants, and beach robes, she paid particular attention to shoulders.

Shamita Shetty, a Bollywood actress, model, and interior decorator, added some fun to the show as she finished the event wearing an unusual sheer/opaque corset-style blouse with puff sleeves and a vibrant, printed maxi skirt with a seductive slit. The hipster belt caught everyone’s attention with its dazzling white and intricate design.

The “Urban Tribe” collection by Rina Dhaka will be the ideal addition to the wardrobes of fashion enthusiasts.
