6th Edition Of Art Haat 2022 Inaugurated At Arts Acre
The 6th edition of the annual Art Fair and Festival ART HAAT, 2022 was inaugurated in the presence of Ganesh Haloi, Artist, Shuvaprasanna, Artist, Snehasish Chakraborty, Minister for Transport, Govt. of West Bengal, Debashis Sen, MD WBHIDCO, June Malia, Actor & MLA, Koneenica Banerjee, Actor, Meghdut Roychowdhury, Director & Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group and others.
The main aim of Art Haat 2022 like its earlier editions is to provide a platform to artists for showcasing their creations and bringing art closer to the people.
There are 65 designed stalls where individual artists, groups, and organizations displayed their artworks, handicrafts, handlooms, and others.
The artworks at the fair are available at affordable prices.
Koneenica said “I brought my daughter this time to see this art fair. As a mother, I wanted her to experience the different forms of art. I do not know which stream she will follow in the future. But it is my utmost duty to make hr experience the different forms of artistry”.
Coinciding with Art Haat 2022, a contemporary art show titled Traversing Thoughts: Beyond the Mediums was inaugurated. The art show was curated by Soma Bhowmik.
The art show emphasizes two contrasting categories of materials like soft mediums (cloth, stitches, and threads) and hard materials (ceramics). Artists have denied the conventional purposes of the medium by reinventing and reimagining the quality, nature, and extent of the mediums.
Art Haat will be organized from 2nd to 5th December 2022.
