Dona Ganguly Conducts Vasant Utsav Workshop At Indian Museum
Indian Museum, Kolkata in collaboration with Dikshamanjari and Prabha Khaitan Foundation organized a Vasant Utsav Workshop.
It was conducted by Odissi dance exponent Dona Ganguly.
Speaking about the main event, Dona Ganguly said “It will be a Shantiniketan-like atmosphere at Indian Museum. Our dance program has different elements. It is not an entirely Odissi dance performance. We have divided the performances into 3 parts. The first part consists of Classical performances consisting of Odissi pieces. The second part has Rabindrasangeetsongs and we will follow Rabindik style of dancing for this part. The third part consists of Rajasthani, Gujarati, and Bollywood-style dance performances to celebrate Holi”.
Dona Ganguly with her students will be performing at Vasant Utsav.
Sundeep Bhutoria will be acting as the narrator.
The event will take place on 5th March, 5.30 pm onwards at the Central Courtyard of the Indian Museum.
