“Ivory And White Are My Favorite Colors”- Parineeti Chopra
The “Fair La Fete” collection, an ode to joyous fashion, was unveiled by Ritika Mirchandani’s creative studio, which adheres to the path of perfect craft and silhouettes, at Lakmé Fashion Week in collaboration with FDCI.
The strength that comes from deconstruction served as the designer’s inspiration, and he or she went further to produce painstakingly dismantled flower designs. Nonetheless, Ritika’s primary sources of inspiration have always been the elegance of art deco and geometrically complex architectural designs.
The collection focused heavily on surface textures and detailing, using threadwork, wires, and glass beads to create little cutouts and floral appliqués.
Silhouettes were opulent and feminine, with sculpted shoulders that contrasted well with flowing capes. Soft lavender and cheerful green, together with the brand’s go-to colors of ivory and black, made a visual impression, matching the tone of the formal outfits.
Flared shararas were worn with elaborate long sleeves, and floor-length robes provided a sense of opulence. The lehengas were elegantly embroidered and paired with deftly designed cholis. Under the ramp lights, saris shimmered in draped or pre-stitched forms, while floor-length dresses highlighted the opulent feminine possibilities.
The long-sleeved jackets and molded, elaborate cholis that were worn with the flowing, shimmering palazzos added drama to the runway.
The embroidered jacket with extended shoulders looked amazing, while a bralette, lehenga, and dupatta with heavy embroidery would be ideal formal wear. The plunging ‘V’ neckline long-sleeved gown spelled ultimate glamour, while the sheer, embroidered, flowing creation was beautiful.
Bollywood star Parineeti Chopra was a picture of elegance when she stopped the show, in a shimmering, white, long, fitted, skirt with a high slit, matching bralette teamed with a structured-shoulders long-sleeved, heavily, embellished, floor-length jacket.
“I am happy to be here at Lakmé Fashion Week in association with FDCI,” Parineeti Chopra said. “My favorite colors are white and ivory, and Ritika’s collection is a dream. I congratulate Ritika on this lovely presentation and am pleased to have been chosen as the star of this collection” added the actress.
Ritika Mirchandani’s “Fair La Fete” collection was a lavish, sparkling display of bridal and special occasion attire that would be the focal point of fashionistas’ wardrobes in the upcoming season.
