Taneira Launches Contemporary Kurta Collection Cyanotype
For the fashionable Indian woman, Taneira introduces CYANOTYPE, a distinctive capsule collection of distinctive, ready-to-wear contemporary kurtas.
Cyanotype, which was inspired by the nostalgia of pressing flowers and leaves as a child, revives and retains the spirit of those memories in a wearable form.
Cyanotype is an antiquated method of printing images that entails drenching a natural fabric in a solution of two light-sensitive substances. A diverse assortment of plants and vegetation, including leaves, twigs, flowers, and vines, make up the design elements. On a table, the full botanical composition is produced before being transferred to the fabric. The collection’s distinctive cyan-blue color results from a reaction between the photosensitive solution and the cloth when it is exposed to light.
In order to produce an outfit that adds flair to an important meeting or brunch with friends, a variety of dyed panels in various shades of blue and the cyanotype print are combined. A delicate embellishment of hand-embroidered threadwork and sequins in contrasting hues completes the ensemble.
Eight artisans work tirelessly on each kurta in the line to create it.
Each of the collection’s seven fashionable looks employs a mixed-media, multidisciplinary approach to the clothing. With the help of belts and pocket details, some of the multi-purpose clothes from Cyanotype may even be worn as dresses, allowing you to go from nine to dinner in a matter of seconds.
Priced between INR 4990 and INR 6990, Cyanotype is available across all the stores of Taneira in India.
