Taj Bengal, Kolkata is stepping up its efforts to conserve water and reduce waste by effectively processing and utilizing water, reducing waste output, and promoting recycling and reuse in an effort to lessen its impact on the environment. In order to fulfill its promise to gradually phase out single-use plastic, the hotel opened a bottling facility in February 2022. Additional sustainable practices include the usage of EV charging stations, low-flow tap, and shower aerators, treated water for flushing and horticulture, LED lighting, energy-efficient equipment, and time-controlled lighting systems, as well as an on-site composter for organic waste.
