“I Was Given Great Freedom When I Composed Music For Niharika”-Joy Sarkar
“Joy has been composing the music for all the films that I have directed till date. And I hope he continues to do so with the next films that I will be directing. It is always a pleasure to work with him” said Indrasis Acharya at the music launch of the film Niharika (In The Mist).
The cast of the film along with the music team graced the event.
The music of this film has been composed by Joy Sarkar.
Speaking at the event, Joy Sarkar said “This is my fourth film with the director. Music plays an important part in his films. It is unique. We have used common songs. Songs by Rajanikanta, and Rabindranath Tagore, have been used in this film. The director gives me enough independence to me. It is now up to the audience to decide whether I have done a good or bad job with this freedom”.
There are three songs and two background scores in the film. The songs have been sung by Shilajit Mazumdar, Abarna Roy, and Srabani Roy.
The film The Mist tells the story of a lady who overcame a troubled and abusive childhood, sought out her gender identity as she matured, and welcomed a house in the middle of nowhere as her final option for a secure place to call home. It tells the tale of a different melancholy person who lives outside of the fast-paced city.
Anuradha Mukherjee said, “I am relaxed today as today is Joy da’s result day. Mine have gone with the trailer launch. However, the biggest result will be on the day the film releases. I am nervous and excited as well”.
The film is presented by Sreema Creation, produced by Pastel Entertainments & Media Pvt. Ltd, Co-Produced by Adverb Movies Pvt. Ltd in association with Cherrypix Movies Pvt. Ltd.
The cast of the film consists of Shilajit Mazumdar, Anuradha Mukherjee, Anindya Sengupta, Mallika Mazumdar, Priyanka Guha, Rajeswari Paul, Sashi Guha, Juin Bagchi, Amit Chakraborty, Indira Mukherjee, Moloy Rakhhit, Prabal Mukherjee, Rohini Chatterjee and Srabani Roy.
Niharika (In the Mist) has been invited to Bulgaria by the Festival & Congress Centre for the 31st Varna International Film Festival (Love is Folly) under Best of Asian Panorama 2022-23.
The film is slated for release on 21st July.
