The book launch of The Art Of Plunder was graced by the author Dr. Alekhya Talapatra, Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee, Koneenica Banerjee, and Srijato.

Historical relics are in high demand, and the search for them is fierce. This causes two youngsters to lose their fathers and later their guardians. Raina in Srinagar and Neel in Jorhat eventually swear to exact revenge on themselves. Their fate is intertwined with the ancient Buddhist artifacts Yiddhi, a gold mask covered in a five-headed snake, and Yiddham, a gold tortoise set with gems. The book The Art of Plunder is a tale of desire, greed, revenge, and fast-paced action.

“Since I live in Johannesburg, my Bengali is not that good. Had I had the same level of mastery over the Bengali language as Srijato, I would have written the book in Bengali. But that is not the case. Hence, I feel more comfortable writing in English and hence I came up with the book in this language” said the author.

The author also added that the film has cinematic elements. As a result, it can be made into a film or web series in the future if any director is interested in the story.

The 260 pages book is priced at Rs 350.
