Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) announced the opening of Taj Guras Kutir Resort & Spa in Gangtok.

The resort is tucked away in the Sikkim alpine region which provides panoramic views of the magnificent Kanchenjunga while being surrounded by lush nature.

The Hon Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) graced the grand inauguration ceremony.

The 69-key resort, which spans 14 acres, is a tranquil retreat. The resort is a fusion of Sikkimese aesthetics and modern design, and the architecture emphasizes a strong feeling of indigenous culture. A Thangka, a painting that was inspired by local Buddhism, can be found in each room. With its pan-Asian specialty, Soi & Sake, Guras Lounge & Bar serving hi-tea and cocktails, and its forest-themed, all-day restaurant Machan, Taj Guras Kutir Resort & Spa gives guests a distinctive culinary experience. The opulently decorated dinner and meeting rooms are perfect for holding social soirées and business gatherings. At J Wellness Circle, visitors can embrace wellness thanks to its holistic practices that are based on long-standing Indian wellness customs. There is a games facility within the resort for individuals who enjoy entertainment.

IHCL will have 11 hotels after the addition of this hotel, with three more being built in North East India. This contains three hotels in Sikkim under the Taj, Vivanta, and Ginger brands.
