Sunrise Bhojonbilashi- Enticing Experience With Great Cuisine & Travel
Sunrise Bhojonbilashi is proudly presented by hoichoi in collaboration with Sunrise. ITC’s Sunrise is renowned for its historical exploration of spice trails via culinary demonstrations and properties that delve into regional cuisine. Arijit Seth’s Sunrise Bhojonbilashi, which also represents hoichoi’s thrilling non-fiction debut, portends many more captivating forays into this genre in the future.
Sunrise Bhojonbilashi skillfully combines cuisine and travel to create an enticing experience that takes guests on an immersive trip through West Bengal’s unique gastronomic environment. The show, which travels around five districts—Bolpur, Purulia, Murshidabad, Bankura, and Kolkata—is hosted by the charming and ardent foodie RJ Somak. Every week, a famous guest joins Somak to discuss the background, customs, and cuisine of a particular region.
One of the show’s most notable elements is “Kumropotash,” a peculiar food truck that draws inspiration from the well-known figure of Sukumar Ray. Placed in famous spots such as the Victoria Memorial, Panchkote Raj Fort, Hazaduari Murshidabad, Susunia Hills, and so on, this food truck acts as the gastronomic focal point of every episode, supporting the travel aspect of the show.
A lovely blend of storytelling, fascinating cultural insights, and cooking lessons with regional chefs can be found in each 15-minute episode. Celebrity attendees like Saurav Das, Ushasi Ray, Ankita Chatterjee, Durnibar Saha, and Anirban Chakrabarti enrich the experience with their distinct personalities and make each episode both educational and enjoyable.
“As a foodie, hosting Sunrise Bhojonbilashi has been an absolute joy. My enthusiasm for Bengali food culture has grown as a result of discovering its rich culinary legacy, which is full of intriguing flavors and tales” said RJ Somak.
“We wanted to combine the delight of travel with the rich diversity of Bengali food with Sunrise Bhojonbilashi. Each episode is a celebration of tradition, culture, and flavors that will resonate with both food lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike” said Arijit Seth.
Sunrise Bhojonbilashi is going to be a global phenomenon for foodies, culture vultures, and the Bengali diaspora. It promises to provide an enriching experience for all audiences with its captivating tale and renewed emphasis on authenticity.
