At the esteemed Ahiritola Sarbojanin Durgotsav in Kolkata, LEGACY COLLECTIVE, the Bacardi brand that is synonymous with the Spirit of India, unveiled its association with famous NGO She Kantha, marking a vital step towards restoring the domestic art form of Nakshi Kantha. The goal of this collaboration is to protect and advance the rich history of Nakshi Kantha, an elaborately crafted traditional Indian embroidery style that is especially popular in Eastern India.

In keeping with the brand spirit of LEGACY COLLECTIVE, which celebrates Indian heritage and craftsmanship, the event featured a live presentation of Nakshi Kantha’s work on two 100-foot-long Kantha cloths that had been painstakingly hand-painted by regional craftsmen. In addition, the company promised to provide She Kantha a grant in support of their continued efforts to protect and promote Indian traditional arts.
