Eminent actress Pallavi Chatterjee has been organizing her family’s Lakshmi Puja for 25 years, and it’s now the buzz of the town.

Let us look at this renowned Puja 2024 from Bobby Chakraborty, an actor, activist, and method acting instructor who has been a regular on the esteemed guest list for the past 20 years.

“I have known Pallavi Di, also known as my beloved Maku Di, for precisely twenty-two years, ever since I tried out for the Hindi daily soap opera Saheb Biwi aur Ghulam, which she and Bumba Da (Prosenjit Chatterjee) co-produced under the banner of Golden Moments for Sahara Manoranjan Channel”, Bobby said.

“Later on, I collaborated with them as well. Outside of the job environment, I have a strong emotional connection to Maku Di. She would undoubtedly be at the top of the list of people in the industry who truly want me well, in my opinion. Her kindness and affection as a producer, co-actor, and older sister have always impacted me” added the actor.

“Except for one year when I was in the United States, I have not missed Maku Di’s Lakshmi Puja in the past twenty-one years. Maku Di has been organizing this puja all by herself, just like her mother, the late Ratna Chatterjee, would have done. She claims that her mother meant everything to her. That’s why the picture of the revered Ratna Aunty is next to Ma Lakshmi’s singhasan. Baba died away on May 31st of this year, thus this was the first Durga Puja I had ever done without him. There were no Lakshmi Puja festivities in our home for the first time since I was born. Maku Di’s Puja therefore became my own, especially this year” said Bobby.

Actors like Shankar Chakraborty, Monami Ghosh, Sudeshna Roy, Labani Sarkar, Manali, Sayantani Guha Thakurta, and others graced the puja.
