Great Fun At The Annual Cake Mixing At The Astor
The annual Cake Mixing Ceremony, a long-standing custom that unites visitors to begin the holiday season, was celebrated at the Astor Kolkata. The Astor, which is located at 15 Shakespeare Sarani in Kolkata, once again showed its dedication to giving its visitors experiences they would remember. Participants were asked to assemble around a big mixing table that was laden with a variety of dried fruits, nuts, and spices that were just ready to be mixed to make the foundation for the festive cakes.
“The Cake Mixing Ceremony is one of our most treasured traditions at The Astor. It’s a fantastic chance to unite people, promote joy, and make enduring memories with our visitors” said General Manager Amit Kobat.
Attendees eagerly participated in the mixing process, pouring, tossing, and blending the vibrant components in a spirit of togetherness. As everyone joined hands in enjoying a moment of joy, the room was filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious perfume of the delicacies of the season.
To further enhance the experience, The Astor Kolkata surprised guests with a special buffet that included a range of delicious things in addition to the cake mixing.
Refreshing drinks included Strawberry Delight, which was created with orange juice, lime juice, black pepper, handmade strawberry puree, and edible glitters. The Lactine Cocomoco, an opulent concoction of mille foam, coffee liquor, and chocolate liquor, was another favorite. A glass of sangria added a traditional touch to the event for those looking for something celebratory.
The Nibbles were just as tempting, beginning with Pizza on Circulation, which came in two flavors: harissa chicken with fresh coriander leaves and grilled vegetables with feta and caramelized onion. The distinctive Coriander Cake was served with tomato ginger chutney, and the Sambal Spiced Cottage Cheese was served with tomato chutney and broccoli dust.
The Beer Battered Fish Scallions, served with green chili-coriander mayo, was a hit with seafood aficionados. Pigs in Blanket, a blend of white wine and chili-garlic spices, was a success with meat lovers. Dessert enthusiasts loved the Boozy Brownie, which was created with handmade Baileys and chocolate powder for a delicious finish.
The Cake Mixing Ceremony at the Astor Kolkata reminded everyone in attendance of the ageless customs that make the season unique while embodying a sense of solidarity and seasonal anticipation.
