Under BPCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, the Kolkata Society for Cultural Heritage (KSCH) & North Barrackpore Municipality, in partnership with BPCL, have successfully installed necessary medical equipment in Jamini Bhusan Memorial Maternity & General Hospital and Monirampur Poly Clinic, marking a significant advancement in healthcare access. To provide underprivileged communities with high-quality healthcare, this initiative seeks to improve diagnostic and critical care services.

Modern medical equipment such as X-ray machines, digital radiography panels, a 5-part hematology analyzer, a high-end ultrasound machine (USG) with four Pro A, and an intensive care unit ventilator 9C Plus have been provided to these hospitals as a result of the project. Emergency response, medical diagnostics, and general patient care are all greatly enhanced by these installations.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by eminent dignitaries, like the Honorable MP & MLA of Barrackpore, the Chief Manager (Admin-HRS), East of BPCL, the Chairman of North Barrackpore Municipality, and the Director of KSCH. Their attendance demonstrated the cooperative effort to improve the area’s healthcare system.

To determine which hospitals had the most urgent needs, KSCH carried out a thorough assessment in collaboration with BPCL and local authorities. These advanced machines are now fully functional after a methodical procurement and installation process. Regular use will be supervised by hospital officials, and KSCH field officers will carry out recurring checks to guarantee continued operation.

About 1.62 lakh rural residents directly benefit from this initiative, which gives them access to critical care facilities and cutting-edge diagnostic tools. It is a prime example of how corporate social responsibility can close healthcare gaps and provide life-saving medical innovations to the most underserved communities.

KSCH is still dedicated to making sure this project is successful in the long run with ongoing oversight and assistance. This project is proof of the ability of public institutions and private organizations to work together to create a society that is healthier and more resilient.
