Director Joydeep Mukherjee, Anirban Chakrabarti, Somak Ghosh, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay of the team, The Eken: Benaras E Bibhishika, were present at Mitra Café, Dum Dum. Mitra Café is the food partner of the recently released film The Eken: Benaras E Bibhishika.

The actors and director gorged on yummy food before interacting with the media.

Speaking at the event, Anirban Chakrabarti said, “The character of Eken Babu is so relatable that many people think that Anirban is also like Eken Babu. But that is not true. I can speak moderately good Hindi, do not eat so much, and am not an extrovert. These are some of the areas in which I differ from Eken Babu. But I am thankful to the audience for their love”.

Somak Ghosh said he is still learning the different nuances of facing the camera. “I learn one thing or the other daily. Earlier, I used to be very confused as to how to face the camera. Now I am better than before. But still, I get scolded by the director. And that is how I learn,” said Somak.

Suhotra said, “I do not know how many more Eken Babu films or series will be made, but the four of us have become good friends. And that will last for a long time. I am sure of that”.

Suhotra also hoped that this film would be enjoyed by the audience as much as the other films.

Joydeep Mukherjee thanked the audience for the love they have been showering for the past many years.  He urged them to go to the halls to watch the film and have a good time with their friends and families.
