Mrigaya’s grand trailer launch took place recently in the presence of the director Abhirup Ghosh, cast members consisting of Anirban Chakrabarti, Vikram Chatterjee, Priyanka Sarkar, Ritwick Chakraborty, and others.

The story centers on four police officers who must work together to find a dangerous criminal who is evading capture. The fact that this story was written by Debasis Datta, a real police officer, makes it unique. Pallab Malakar, another police officer, has been helping him. The story’s police procedural elements are highly realistic.

The director thanked Debasis Datta for permitting him to make a story on this real-life story and also for fictionalising some parts of it to suit the screen.

Saurav Das portrays an enigmatic criminal. Chaya, a prostitute who lives and works in Sonagachi’s alleyways, is portrayed by Priyanka Sarkar. She serves as the film’s central emotional figure. She has some of the most challenging and heartbreaking scenes in the movie. Ananya Bhattacharya, a newcomer, portrays Chameli, a young sex worker who despises all men and is ill-tempered and foul-mouthed.

Speaking at the trailer launch, Priyanka Sarkar said, “I enjoyed working with Abhirup and the talented cast of the film. The film has thrills, adventure, and an emotional quotient. We have all worked very hard to make this film. The feedback so far has been very positive, and we hope that this continues when the film releases”.

Saurav Das plays a villain in the film. “This is based on a real-life event, and the police officers had to work very hard to catch this villain. Why did the villain commit the murders, and how he got caught will all be shown in the film,” said the actor.

The film is slated for release on the 27^th of June.
