The first day shoot of the upcoming Bengali feature film ‘Sankhabelay’, directed by Biswajit Mukherjee, took place recently.

Sankhabelay is essentially a love story. It shows the love between the characters, Sandip and Trisha. Love is an emotion that most of us have experienced. Some have been lucky in love, while others got their hearts broken in the process.

Om Sahani and Megha Chowdhury, the lead pair of the film, were seen shooting for the film.

In between the shots, Om said, “I will be seen in a corporate role. I work in a bank. How to maintain relations despite the turmoils in life is shown in the film. We are shooting the office scenes today. This is my first day of shooting. The director is very sorted and he is shooting the scenes in a detailed way”.

Megha shared that he had known Om from a young age. Hence, working with Om is really a good experience for the actress.

The cast of the film also consists of Biswajit Chakraborty, Laboni Sarkar, Kharaj Mukherjee, Sanjib Sarkar, Bodhisotyo Majumdar, Rajat Ganguly, Subhrajeet Dutta, Mousumi Bhattacharya, and Aloke Sanyal.

The writer, director, and editor of the film is Biswajit Mukherjee.

The music directors of the film are Amit Sur and Shamik Guha Roy. There are 3 songs in the film. One is a Rabindrasangeet, and that has been sung by Jayati Chakraborty. Kharaj Mukherjee has sung a Kirtan for the film. The other song will be sung by Shaan.

The shoot of the film will be done in Kolkata, Digha, and Mumbai.

The producer of the film is Biswajit Das. This is the first film of the producer, and he shared that he had a good time during the shoot of the film. He revealed that Eskay Movies is helping him a lot and guiding him in producing the film. Eskay Movies will be distributing the film.

It has been produced under the banner of Guru Nigamananda Films.

The film will be released by the end of the year or by early January.
