KOLKATAWOOD 2025- A Great Show For The Woodworking Industry

With an enthusiastic opening at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan on the first day of KOLKATAWOOD 2025, the woodworking, furniture, and mattress industries in Eastern India experienced a significant turning point. The show, which is being organized by NürnbergMesse India, is the most recent development in the 25-year history of IndiaWood, one of the biggest global venues for woodworking and furniture production innovations.
Smt. Vandana Yadav, IAS (Managing Director, West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation; Principal Secretary, Industry Department, and CEO, WB Trade Promotion Organisation), focused on the state’s growing importance in India’s industrial map.
Gabriele Manig, Deputy Consul General, German Consulate, emphasized the value of global cooperation and NürnbergMesse’s important position in Eastern India’s expansion.
KOLKATAWOOD 2025 includes 150+ renowned brands displaying pioneering machinery, new-age materials, sophisticated design solutions, and next-gen mattress technologies. Industry experts, ranging from manufacturers and sawmillers to architects and designers, are able to investigate new prospects and partnerships through live demonstrations, business-to-business networking, and skill-building workshops.
The Kolkatawood edition is released at a time when the desire for high-end lifestyle goods, ergonomic furniture, and modern homes in Kolkata and Eastern India is being fueled by urbanization, increased disposable incomes, and a real estate boom.
The exhibition will continue till 14 September 2025. There will be sessions, showcases, and business interactions.
