The prominent production house WINDOWS released a short promotional video to reveal the first look of the film Familywala. Running for just 42 seconds, the clip marks a celebratory milestone for the production company while formally introducing an upcoming cinematic project directed by acclaimed filmmaker Suman Ghosh.

The video opens with a graphic celebrating 25 years of WINDOWS, establishing the studio’s long-standing footprint in the film industry. The focus then shifts to celebrated actor and director Shiboprosad Mukherjee, who serves as the central figure of the teaser. Standing in front of a camera as if participating in a screen test or a film shoot, Mukherjee is instructed with the classic cue: Camera, rolling, action.

Mukherjee repeatedly attempts to deliver a simple introductory line: “Namaskar, ami Familywala” (Greetings, I am Familywala). The teaser uses a comedic montage format, showing his multiple failed and varied takes. He delivers the line with a standard smile, then tries an exaggeratedly serious tone, followed by a burst of laughter, crying/whining tones, an old-school black-and-white cinematic filter, and aggressive shouting. The sequence humorously highlights his dramatic versatility and hints at the playful, chaotic, or multi-faceted nature of his character in the upcoming movie.

Interspersed text reveals that the film is directed by Suman Ghosh. The teaser concludes by wishing a happy birthday to Shiboprosad Mukherjee, revealing that the promotional material was strategically timed with the artist’s birthday. Accompanied by a cheerful musical track, the final frame displays the title logo, Familywala, alongside a Coming Soon announcement. Mukherjee closes the clip with a whispered rendition of the title line. Ultimately, the video successfully serves as an engaging “first look” that builds anticipation for the film by blending a major studio anniversary, a birthday celebration, and a lighthearted preview of Mukherjee’s performance.
