Techno Main Salt Lake, an institution affiliated with MAKAUT University, reached a significant milestone by celebrating its Silver Jubilee. The landmark event, held at the prestigious Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata, was a grand cultural and commemorative evening that brought together distinguished academicians, esteemed guests, alumni, and current faculty members to honor 25 years of academic excellence and institutional growth.

​The event served as a formal reflection on the institution’s remarkable journey over the past quarter-century. Since its inception, Techno Main Salt Lake has remained dedicated to fostering innovation, promoting transformative education, and shaping future leaders and professionals. The atmosphere in the stadium was one of pride and nostalgia, as attendees celebrated the collective achievements that have defined the college’s history and its impact on the educational landscape of the region.

​The evening was graced by the presence of Padmashri Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay, former Director of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, who attended as the Guest of Honour. Her presence underscored the institution’s commitment to academic rigor and high-level intellectual engagement.

​The formal proceedings commenced with the traditional ceremonial lamp lighting, a ritual symbolizing the dispelling of darkness through knowledge. This was followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson of the Techno India Group. Her address set the tone for the evening, emphasizing the core values that have guided the institution since its founding.

​Beyond the academic reflections, the event featured a vibrant cultural program that added a unique dimension to the milestone. The audience was treated to melodious musical performances by renowned artist Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury and the musical duo Sourendro-Soumyojit. A particularly poignant moment of the celebration featured a performance by 25 students of Techno Main Salt Lake who were specially trained by Sourendro-Soumyojit. This collaborative effort served as a tribute to the institution’s 25-year legacy, highlighting the talent and creative spirit fostered within the campus.

​The Silver Jubilee celebration concluded with a formal vote of thanks. The event not only honored the past but also served as a renewed pledge, reaffirming the institution’s steadfast commitment to continued excellence in education and the holistic development of its students for years to come.
