Chocolate has always been the sweet note at the end of a meal. Fabelle completely rethinks that concept this World Chocolate Day, incorporating cocoa throughout the entire dining experience instead of saving it for last.

From July 4–7, 2026, guests are invited to an exclusive seven-course Cocoa Journey at Ottimo, ITC Royal Bengal. This limited-edition menu takes chocolate far beyond dessert and into the world of modern fine dining. Each course, created for the inquisitive and discriminating, combines fine cocoa with seasonal ingredients, artisanal methods, and surprising pairings.

The pairings are Marinated Burrata topped with Dark Chocolate Curls, Beet Carpaccio finished with a White Chocolate Drizzle, a Jerusalem Artichoke Soup deepened with dark chocolate, Homemade Fettuccine with a Dark Chocolate Crumble, and the Fabelle Cocoa Trail.

Additionally, some courses provide non-vegetarian options so that visitors can customize their experience.

The flavor develops gradually rather than all at once because each course is designed to reveal a distinct mood of chocolate—bold in one moment, delicate and quiet in another.

“World Chocolate Day gave us a chance to imagine cocoa beyond dessert. We have paired chocolate with surprising ingredients throughout this seven-course journey at Ottimo—savory, spiced, even smoky—letting its versatility shine. Each course reveals a different mood of chocolate: bold, delicate, surprising. It is now the whole story, not just the conclusion,” said Chef Darshani Harikrishna.

This idea permeates the entire menu, turning what could have been a single decadent dessert into a thread that unites all of the courses, either subtly existing in the background or, depending on the situation, boldly advancing.

The experience, which is only available from 12:30 pm to 2:45 pm and 7 pm to 11:30 pm, costs Rs 5,000 per person (without beverages) or Rs 7,500 per person with a carefully chosen beverage pairing.
