The DST-FIST Laboratory at GNIDSR’s Kolkata campus was inaugurated by Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director of JIS Group, and Prof. Ajay Kumar Ray, Director of JIS Institute of Advanced Studies and Research. This event reaffirmed JIS Group‘s dedication to innovation-driven education and high-quality research.

Prof. (Dr.) J. Bhattacharyya, Principal, GNIDSR, Dr. Neeraj Saxena, Pro Chancellor, JIS University, and Prof. (Dr.) Partha Sarkar, Vice Chancellor, JIS University, along with eminent academicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and students graced the occasion.

The DST-FIST is equipped with cutting-edge research tools such as a Micro Vickers Hardness Tester, 3D printer, and Spectrophotometer. It is anticipated that these advanced facilities will greatly improve research capabilities, foster interdisciplinary collaborations across academic and scientific domains, and support innovation in biomaterials and dental sciences.

Additionally, the lab will give researchers, faculty, and students access to state-of-the-art scientific facilities, opening up new avenues for high-impact research, knowledge generation, and cooperative projects that tackle new issues in the allied sciences and healthcare.

In addition to advancing scientific and technological research nationwide, the DST-FIST Laboratory will strengthen GNIDSR’s standing as a premier hub for dental education, research, and innovation.
