Kids From Rupayan NGO To Attend Special Rakhi Celebration

Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of compassion, love, and the commitment to support one another. Fundamentally, it serves as a reminder that sharing the joy of a festival makes it meaningful and that every child should feel loved, remembered, and part of those joyful moments.
In a celebration focused on warmth and unity, 17 kids from Rupayan NGO will gather for a special afternoon on August 27 at 1 pm at Garden Cafe, Lee Road, in honor of Raksha Bandhan.
There will be food, laughter, and joyful moments around the table throughout the afternoon. To make the celebration more joyful and unforgettable, the kids will have a special festive lunch and then a sweet treat.
“Raksha Bandhan serves as a reminder that love, compassion, and the desire to make someone feel important are the foundation of the most beautiful relationships. We wanted to bring these kids together for a joyful and communal afternoon this year in order to honor that spirit. We hope that the warmth, laughter, and smiles of this day stay with them long after the celebration is over,” said Sandip Nowlakha, the founder of Garden Café.
However, the celebration’s core extends beyond the meal. The goal is to create an afternoon where kids can have fun, laugh, converse, and just feel honored. These seemingly insignificant moments, like sharing a meal, laughing over something basic, or sitting around a table, can sometimes become the memories we cherish.
