As Zimbabwe Tourism and Travel Live intensifies its efforts to promote the nation’s diverse tourism experiences and raise awareness of the destination in the Indian market, Zimbabwe is expected to become a more appealing travel destination for Indian tourists.

At Travel Live’s fifth anniversary celebration in Kolkata, which drew about 650 customers, travel partners, and industry stakeholders, the collaboration was highlighted.

As a special guest at the event, Ms. Sophia Hope T. Chimba, Minister Counselor – Tourism and Tourism Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe in New Delhi, discussed the many attractions Zimbabwe has to offer Indian tourists as well as the cultural ties she believes exist between Zimbabwe and India.

Ms. Chimba discussed Zimbabwe’s wildlife, natural beauty, culture, and unique travel experiences. She also emphasized the potential for bringing more Indian tourists to the country. She also discussed how the cultures of Zimbabwe and India are similar, citing the Indian concept of Atithi Devo Bhava as an example of how both societies value hospitality and welcoming visitors.

The program itself reflected the focus on Zimbabwe. The CEO of Travel Live, Pinaki Mitra, presented a few of the company’s forthcoming tours to Zimbabwe as well as a few new travel initiatives to other locations.

“We intend to transport over 100 tourists to Zimbabwe in the upcoming year. We believe Zimbabwe has a lot of potential and want to provide our visitors with a chance to explore its wildlife, natural beauty, culture, and unique experiences,” said Mitra.

The event was graced by prominent figures from the travel and tourism industry. Ritam Saha, Assistant Director, Passenger & Cargo Services for India, Nepal & Bhutan at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), attended the gathering, along with TravelLive’s brand ambassadors, celebrated actors Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Alpana Chakraborty.

For Travel Live, Zimbabwe embodies the spirit of exploration that has been essential to the company’s development during its initial five years.

Senior representatives from airlines, destination management firms, cruise lines, reservation and travel service providers, financial institutions, and media outlets attended the anniversary event, which also demonstrated the breadth of Travel  Live’s global partnership network. Travel Live started with 12 employees five years ago and has since expanded to 34, forming alliances in places like Australia, Alaska, Greenland, and Antarctica.

As Travel Live moves into its next stage, the company views its involvement with Zimbabwe Tourism as a crucial component of its goal to introduce Indian tourists to new places, cultures, and experiences.
