An Amazing Solo Art Exhibition “Journey” By Manikana Upadhyay

The solo art exhibition titled Journey: An Exploration of Moments, Emotions and Existence showcased the evocative works of artist Manikana Upadhyay. The exhibition was inaugurated at the Jogen Chowdhury Centre for Arts, Charubasana, Sunayani Chitrasala, located at 388-B/1 Prince Anwar Shah Road, Kolkata – 700045.
The grand inauguration ceremony was graced by prominent figures from the artistic community who served as Guests of Honour:

About the Artist
Manikana Upadhyay is a traditional artist and educator based at Avishikta – I, Kolkata, boasting over two decades of professional art experience. Her career reflects a balance between academic excellence in science, traditional artistic practice, and cultural accomplishments.

Educational Background & Qualifications:
- B.Sc. (Hons) in Zoology (1st Class): MBB College (1991)
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences (1st Class): Tripura University (1994)
- Certificate Course in Art and Craft: Govt. College of Art and Craft, Tripura (1996)
- Diploma in Dance: Sarbabharatiya Suranandan Bharati, Kolkata (2005)
- National Cadet Corps: ‘C’ Certificate holder, invited to Rashtrapati Bhavan in 1984
