What began as an ordinary media lunch in Kolkata soon turned into a surprise-filled kitchen as Sony AATH revealed its upcoming original show, Raandhuni Na Kaanduni. Hosted by Ankush Hazra, the immersive Kitchen Takeover offered media and creators an up-close experience of the food, laughter, celebrity banter, and culinary chaos that make this new unscripted comedy cooking show so distinctive.

The glamorous event unveiled the long-anticipated, star-studded cast, bringing together well-known and beloved personalities set to take center stage in Raandhuni Na Kaanduni.

The show features prominent personalities like Kanchan Mullick, Sreemoyee Chattoraj, Iman Chakraborty, Rupanjana Mitra, Darshana Banik, Prerna Das, Ushasi Ray, Sushmit Mukherjee, RJ Sayan Ghosh, Anwesha Hazra and Soumitrisha Kundu, with Chef Doma Wong and Chef Priyam.

Ankush Hazra said, “The instant I heard the idea, I knew Raandhuni Na Kaanduni was something very distinct. It gathers individuals whom audiences already recognize and admire, yet places them in a wholly unfamiliar environment where anything is possible. With such a diverse ensemble cast, there can never be a dull moment. Each person brings their unique personality, humor, and energy into the kitchen, making my role as a host even more thrilling. I believe the real excitement for audiences will be watching these familiar faces reunite and seeing where the chaos leads them”.

Raj Chakraborty, the director of the show, said, “One might feel that this is a copy of another show that is aired in another language. But that is not the case. This show is based on an American show, Worst Cooks in America. The idea behind this show was to bring together eminent personalities who cannot cook. And I saw that they truly cannot cook. There is fun, laughter, and emotions in the show, just like you will find in my films”.

The fun and whimsical reveal gave guests a preview of exactly what the show delivers to viewers when the raandhunis clash with the kaandunis; the outcome might not always follow the script, but the entertainment always does.

Raandhuni Na Kaanduni will premiere on October 3, 2026, at 9:30 PM, on Sony AATH and Sony LIV.
