To mark its 11th anniversary distinctively, Acropolis Mall gathered 11 children from Ektara, a well-known NGO in Tangra, for a special project called 11 at 11- Pujo Through Their Eyes.

As part of the initiative, children were encouraged to depict the upcoming Durga Puja from their perspective. Each child was given a canvas, paints, and art supplies and encouraged to let their imagination run wild. Their paintings portrayed various aspects of Durga Puja, including the Durga idol, dhaak music, pandal hopping, family gatherings, festive food, new attire, lights, and friendships.

The renowned artist Eleena Banik was in attendance to motivate the young participants. She joined the children in their creative celebration and brought her own artistic take on Durga Puja to life on canvas.

The painting session ended with Sushil Mohta, Chairman of the Merlin Group, distributing gifts to the participating children. The festivities ended with a gala cake-cutting ceremony commemorating Acropolis Mall’s 11-year milestone.

Acropolis Mall has recently marked 11 years since its opening in Kolkata. Since its opening in 2015, the mall has transformed from a mainly shopping-focused location into a lively experiential center where shopping, dining, entertainment, and festivities converge. Over the years, it has become a favored gathering spot for people of all ages and a place where families can enjoy meaningful time together.

The initiative also highlights Acropolis Mall’s ongoing connection to Kolkata’s cultural scene, especially during Durga Puja, when it transforms into a hub for festive shopping, dining, entertainment, and family activities.
