Balaram Mullick Announces New Outlet In Kalighat

After completing the required food safety and regulatory compliance measures, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has formally approved Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick Sweet Pvt. Ltd. to reinstate its factory license.
Mr. Goutam Mullick, Sole Proprietor & Director, Mr. Rishav Mullick, Director, Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick Sweet Pvt. Ltd., and Lopamudra Mullick, Director, Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick Sweet Pvt. Ltd., graced the press conference to announce this.
After the authorities suspended the factory licenses at its B.L. Saha Road premises, the company implemented a range of corrective actions to address the observations and requirements.
The company also made it clear that the recent regulatory action applied only to its B.L. Saha Road factory and not to its Tollygunge outlet or any other outlets. Each of the company’s outlets holds its own FSSAI approval and operates autonomously while complying with relevant food safety and regulatory standards. Management reaffirmed that the Tollygunge outlet was not affected by the regulatory action related to the B.L. Saha Road facility.
The company also revealed the opening of its new outlet in Kalighat, signaling another step in its expansion across Kolkata. The new outlet will broaden the brand’s footprint in the city while maintaining its classic lineup of Bengali sweets and other items.
For more than 140 years, Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick has been deeply connected to Kolkata’s culinary traditions. The company reaffirmed that customer trust, food safety, hygiene, and quality remain at the heart of its operations as it keeps improving its manufacturing processes and growing its footprint throughout the city.
