When Bobby Chakraborty led his free, worldwide anti-addiction campaign, I AM THE KING OF MY MIND, the students from National Gems Higher Secondary School-Behala’s 11th and 12th grades were carried away by his wave of emotional awareness, mixed with humor, love, and affection. This was his 12th semester at this esteemed West Bengal school.

Through engaging social experiments, role-plays, and real-life incidents, students, or Bobby’s soldiers, learned these priceless life lessons in his fight against the darkness of all kinds of addiction (smoking, alcoholism, smartphones, etc.) and harmful social trends (abusive language, online obscenity to gain popularity, bullying, ragging, dangers of online gaming, etc.). Ayushmaan, Bihan, Vaibhav, Aritra, Soumanya, Ritojeet, Ashutosh, Ashmit, Deepshikha, and other soldiers enthusiastically participated.

Well-mannered and proactive soldier Ahilan Bera (XII) served as the session’s official photographer, with assistance from Soldier Anusmriti Bhowmick, who was dubbed The Best Friend. Soldiers Poushali Das (XI) and Sounavo Roy (XI) received the other two significant ceremonial titles of The First Soldier and The Trendsetter, respectively. It’s interesting to note that Sounavo, Poushali, and Soldier Priyanshu Dutta Sarmah (XI) won the final surprise quiz. Bobby presented Ahilan and the recipients with community service certificates, personalized HCF t-shirts, and special awards.

Any program that is not a commercial venture depends heavily on the selflessness of its organizers, and in this case, the visionary Principal Jayasri Roy and the socially conscious School Management receive high credit. Bobby‘s interactive session was transformed into a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the children because of her creative ideas, the energetic event coordinator Paramita Mitra, and an effective team of teachers.

Students, parents, and esteemed teachers have all given the session overwhelmingly excellent reviews.
