A Great Evening Of Shyama Sangeet At Lake Kalibari

At Shri Shri Karunamoyee Kalimata Mandir, also known as Lake Kalibari, SVF Entertainment, in collaboration with Lake Kalibari, hosted An Evening of Shyama Sangeet at a festival that brought together music, film, and spirituality. With a musical homage to the deep bond between Sadhak Bamacharan and Maa Tara, the evening brought to life the emotional and spiritual realm of Sadhak Bamakhyapa, which has its roots in Bengal’s longstanding tradition of devotion to the Divine Mother.

The event was intended to be an immersive celebration of faith, devotion, and Bengal’s rich cultural legacy, set against the hallowed and highly venerated backdrop of Lake Kalibari. An environment of spiritual fervor and reverence was created as the proceedings began with traditional puja and prayers, followed by devotional Naamgaan. The Lake Kalibari officials’ cordial support and unwavering collaboration made the event particularly noteworthy. Their kindness and encouragement were crucial in making this project a reality. The entire Sadhak Bamakhyapa team and SVF Entertainment expressed their sincere gratitude to Sebait Shri Nitai Chandra Basu and the Lake Kalibari fraternity for allowing the celebration to take place in this hallowed location.

Presenting SVF Entertainment’s upcoming film, Sayantan Ghosal’s Sadhak Bamakhyapa, was a major highlight of the event. The main cast members of the movie, Sabyasachi Chowdhury and Payel De, joined the director for a lively conversation that covered the film’s spiritual underpinnings, creative vision, and the enormous responsibility of bringing the life of one of Bengal’s most revered spiritual figures to the big screen.

Sabyasachi Chowdhury, who plays Sadhak Bamacharan and serves as the film’s Story, Screenplay-Dialogues, and Creative Director, discussed the character’s profound emotional depth, conviction, and spiritual intensity.

Payel De, who plays Maa Tara, talked about her experience playing a character whose presence is important to the story of the movie.

Together, the exchange provided a window into Sadhak Bamakhyapa’s soul, a tale molded by a remarkable connection of total surrender, unshakeable faith, and unconditional love between the devotee and the Divine Mother. The teaser for the movie was also unveiled that evening, giving viewers a first look at this incredibly moving cinematic experience.

Sadhak Bamakhyapa’s unique musical design by Indraadip Dasgupta, whose artistic input gives the movie a captivating aural identity and enhances its emotional depth and spiritual ambiance, adds another important musical component. The film’s music, which has its roots in Bengali devotional customs, depicts the deep connection between Sadhak Bamacharan and Maa Tara and becomes an essential component of its narrative. YouTube users have been responding favorably to the songs; the most recent song, Ami Mantra Tantra Kichhui Janine Ma, which was uploaded on November 3, received particularly positive feedback. The film’s connection to Bengal’s rich musical and spiritual legacy is further strengthened by its musical design, which unites the narrative emotions and devout sensibilities.

Five renowned Bengali voices—Manomoy Bhattacharya, Parthasarathi Ekalabya, Jayati Chakraborty, Satyajit Deb Roy, and Atanu Mishra—performed a lengthy musical set following the celebration. The performers brought the ageless musical traditions of devotion to Maa Kali to life with a moving selection of Shyama Sangeet, transporting the audience on an emotional journey of faith, longing, love, and surrender to the Divine Mother. Each performance became a manifestation of devotion, exploring the many facets of a devotee’s bond with the Mother. The celebration’s focal point was the musical evening, which brought audiences and performers together to share Bengal’s musical and spiritual customs.

SVF Entertainment’s Sadhak Bamakhyapa is slated for a theatrical release on 20th November 2026.
